Farmers have been troubled for years by the menace of stray animals. Farmers say that the government does not make arrangements for these animals and those animals destroy the hard work of farmers for months in one night. In such a situation, fed up with stray animals, a farmer ploughed and destroyed his standing sugarcane and paddy crops. He destroyed his crop which was prepared with hard work to draw the attention of the government towards this problem.
Due to stray animals in the district, farmers’ crops are continuously suffering heavy losses. Administrative officials are also not paying attention to stray animals. Angered by this, the farmer destroyed his standing crop of paddy and sugarcane by plowing it in the field with a tractor. Farmer Ajay Tiwari has also released a video making serious allegations against the Pradhan and Gram Vikas Adhikari.
Regarding the Pradhan and Gram Vikas Adhikari, he said that the crops were constantly getting destroyed due to stray animals and the Gram Pradhan as well as the Gram Vikas Adhikari were informed about the stray animals many times but no one paid attention. Troubled by this, farmer Ajay Tiwari, a resident of Kafara town of Dhaurahra tehsil of Lakhimpur, ran a tractor over about 3 acres of paddy crop and 4 acres of sugarcane crop.
Villagers say that farmers sit in the fields and guard their crops 24 hours a day or night and even then they are unable to save their crops. Due to this, farmers are slowly reaching the brink of starvation. Angry farmer Ajay Tiwari has also released a video to urge the government to get rid of stray animals.
